6 days to go and now this?!!

So, I am officially being induced at 7:30 am on Monday.  At my last appointment, my sugar levels were a little high, so the doc wanted me to track them.  So, being the good little patient that I am, I have been pricking my finger after every meal since Friday.  I got a call today from the doctor (after I called to report my findings) stating that my levels were horrible and that I now have gestational diabetes.  I had to immediately go to the hospital to meet with the Diabetes Specialist to figure out what to do.  So, with 6 days left to go I now have to give myself shots before every meal.  This is all, of course, to make sure Lydia arrives healthy.  The Diabetes Specialist said that once Lydia arrives I should feel better and not have anymore issues.  We just have to get my sugar regulated now, so that Lydia will be able to keep her sugar regulated.  Please pray for us that all will go smoothly!

The end is near!

I went to the doctor on Friday and am still only at 3 cm.  However, we set an induction date.  Lydia's eviction notice has been served!  If I do not go into labor on my own this week, then I will be induced on the 15th.  So, one week from tomorrow we will have us a baby!  I am so glad the doctor allowed us to set a date.  I now have a goal to shoot for.

My sugar was a little high on Friday, too.  Now I have to take my blood sugar levels when I first get up and after every meal.  I'm keeping track of them and I have to call the doctor tomorrow and let her know what they have been.  If they are really bad, she'll have me come back in prior to my next appointment on Thursday to be checked again.

So, the end is finally here.  It's been a rough pregnancy and I have probably complained A LOT, but I know that it will be worth it when I see her precious face.  I am excited for her to get here and wish she would hurry up!
